Eldrick Tont Woods (born December 30, 1975), better known as Tiger Woods, is an American professional golfer whose achievements to date rank him among the most successful golfers of all time. Currently the World No. 1, he was the highest-paid professional athlete in 2008, having earned an estimated $110 million from winnings and endorsements.

According to several sources, golfer Tiger Woods is planning on entering a rehab facility in Wickenburg, Arizona for "sexual compulsion" and alleged usage of Vicodin and Ambien. Reports suggest that the two drugs might have had an influence on the car accident Woods sustained on November 27, 2009. The police officer responsible for investigating Woods' car accident allegedly requested a subpoena, believing the drugs had an impact on the accident.

Only two days before the November 27 car accident, print reports suggested that Tiger Woods had participated in multiple extramarital affairs. Woods has since admitted to multiple acts of sexual indiscretion. Woods's reported sexual partners included Rachel Uchitel, Dina Parr, Loredana Jolie, Jaimee Grubbs, Jaime Jungers, Theresa Rogers and potentially more. On December 17, 2009, wife Elin Nordegren announced that she would be filing for divorce.

Tiger Woods Addiction

The series of events that have led to Woods' alleged entrance into rehab have occurred quickly and are centered around the shocking news of the extramarital affairs that Woods' has engaged in.

In December of 2002, Tiger Woods underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove fluid around his left knee. The anterior cruciate ligament had become inflamed and as a result, surgery was required for his professional career to continue. Throughout 2003 and 2004, Woods dealt with the pain while continuing to play golf.

In late November 2009, Woods' was involved in a car accident that had no fatalities but led the police officer first on the scene to question if the crash was a result of Ambien and Vicodin.

As a result of the car crash, a web of adultery began to unravel as one after another, Woods' mistresses raveled themselves and Woods' adultery. More than 6 women have come forth saying that Woods' engaged in a sexual affair with each of them at different times.

On December 17, sources revealed that Woods will enter a rehab facility to work through addiction issues.

Why Did Tiger Woods Enter Rehab?

On December 30th, speculative sources including X17Online questioned why Tiger Woods entered rehab.

While it is completely unsubstantiated rumor, sources are reporting that Woods may have not have entered rehab to treat a sexual addiction but rather to receive facial reconstruction surgery from the golf club that his wife hit him with.
